About
Our Story
El Callejero Peruvian Street Food is a family owned business, it is a dream come true for the owner and his family. This establishment has become a favorite for many in the region, with a great atmosphere and a friendly staff offering great drinks and delicious food.
It all started years ago, the owner and his family started independently selling Peruvian food since a very young age, which introduced the world of food and traditional cuisine. It all translated to this day, where their love for tradition and food remains strong and is spread throughout greater Roosevelt, Utah and the local people.
What Is Peruvian Food, Peru’s culinary culture builds on the Indigenous traditions and the ingredients that grow in the country’s high mountains, dense rainforest and jungle, and narrow shoreline.
With each wave of new arrivals to the country, the cuisine adapted. The result is a cuisine drawing from all over the globe, naturally incorporating ingredients and techniques into bright, colorful dishes.
While the seemingly infinite varieties of corn and potato used there are hard to get here, we can still imitate the myriad ways Peruvians use them.
The Peruvian Experience In a Food Truck
Peruvian cuisine fuses Japanese, Chinese, Italian, African and Spanish cooking styles. The World Travel Awards have dubbed Peru the globe’s leading culinary destination for six years in a row, and the country’s capital, Lima, is home to a handful of world-class chefs. You don’t need to travel far to try mouth-watering Peruvian food.
